Beef: Sloppy Janes, Hungry Girl

In a large bowl, combine tomato paste, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and vinegar
- One 6-oz. can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar (not packed)
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped bagged broccoli cole slaw
- 1 1/2 lbs. raw extra-lean ground beef (4% fat or less)
- 2 tsp. chopped garlic
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- Serving suggestion: light hamburger buns
Brisket with Pearl Onions and Potatoes

Helpful Tips: 1. A chuck, pork shoulder, or any fatty cut would work for this recipe
- 3-5 pound Brisket
- Olive Oil
- Salt and Freshly Ground Pepper
- 1/2 pound Pearl Onions
- 4 Anchovies
- 1 tablespoon Tomato Paste
- 8 cloves Garlic
- 4 sprigs Rosemary (tied in bundle)
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 6 Carrots (peeled and cut into 2-inch chunks)
- 6 Parsnips (peeled and cut into 2-inch chunks)
- 2 pounds Yukon Gold Potatoes
- 2 tablespoons Flour
- 1 cup Red Wine
- 3 cups Beef Stock
- Fresh Horseradish (to garnish)
Pasta: Asian Spaghetti

Cook pasta according to package directions
- 8 ounces uncooked angel hair pasta
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 cup fresh snow peas
- 3/4 cup shredded carrots
- 4 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
Brie Cups, Baked

Step 1 Bake the Puff Pastry Cups according to package directions
- 2 tablespoons seedless raspberry jam
- 8 oz President brie cheese, cut into 24 pieces
- 1 pkg (9.5 oz) Pepperidge Farm puff pastry cups, prepared according to package directions
- 1 tbsp chopped toasted pecans
Pretzel Sticks, German Soft

In a large bowl, stir the brown sugar into 2 cups of warm water until dissolved
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- Water
- 2 envelopes active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 5 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading
- 3/4 cup baking soda
- 1 large egg beaten with 1 tablespoon of water
- Flaky salt, such as Maldon
- Yellow mustard, for serving

This is a perfect Thanksgiving recipe to provide the gravy that you need!
- 3 TBS unsalted butter
- 1 Carrot, peeled & chopped fine
- 1 Rib celery, chopped fine
- 1 Onion, minced
- 1/4 C all-purpose flour
- 2 C low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 C low-sodium beef broth
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1/4 Tsp dried thyme
- 5 Whole black peppercorns

Sweet and Pungent Pineapple Chicken

This is my never fail favorite
- Batter:
- Sauce: (should be prepared at least 1 day ahead)
- 2 cucumbers peeled and sliced into small pieces
- 10 Tbsp sugar
- 6 Tbsp soy sauce
- 4 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarcch
- 1 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 Tbsp. juice from pineapples
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp ground ginger
- 8 Tbsp. sesame seeds
- 4 lbs chicken breast cut into 1" cubes
- 8-12 pineapple slices. reserve juice for battter and sauce.
- 2 Tbsp. vermouth ( I never did this step. but friends have and liked it)

- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar (may sub white vinegar)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion salt*
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoon cold water
