Apple Pie

1. Heat oven to 425ºF. Prepare Double-Crust Pastry
- Double-Crust Pastry
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 8 cups thinly sliced peeled tart apples (8 medium)
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Chocolate Flan

Blending chocolate and cinnamon puts a Southwest spin on a classic, cool and creamy custard
- TOPPING:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- FLAN:
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 eggs, beaten
Cake Batter Cookies

makes about 2.5 - 3 dozen cookies
- 1 and 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 and 1/4 cup yellow or white boxed cake mix
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup (1.5 sticks) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg, at room temperature
- 1.5 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips (I used a blend of white and semi-sweet chocolate chips)
- 1/2 cup sprinkles
Bread and Butter Pickles Microwave

1. Mix all ingredients together then cover
- 2 cups sliced cucumbers
- 1 cup sliced onions
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp mustard seed
- 1/4 tsp celery seed
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1 cup sugar
Peanut Butter and Banana Wrap

Spread 2 tablespoons of the peanut butter evenly over each tortilla
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 4 whole wheat or regular flour tortillas (8 to 10" in diameter)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 small bananas, sliced
- 1/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips, if desired
Black Raspberry Pie

1.Mix together raspberries, sugar, cornstarch, minute tapioca and water
- 1 quart fresh raspberries
- 1 1/4 cups white sugar
- 8 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
- 6 tablespoons water
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
Yellow Cake - Gluten Free

1 For the Cake Adjust oven rack to middle position
- Gluten-free non-stick cooking spray
- 1 1/4 cups (5 ounces) white rice flour
- 1 cup (8 ounces) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (2 ounces) potato starch
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum
- 1 stick (4 ounces) unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup milk or water
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- For the Chocolate Buttercream
- 2 cups (8 ounces) powdered (confectioner’s)sugar, sifted if lumpy
- 6 tablespoons cocoa powder, sifted if lumpy
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 stick (4 ounces) unsalted butter, softened
- 4 tablespoons milk plus additional as needed
Maley Apple Dressing

Take bread out 48 hours before making dressing
- 1 Loaf of Bread
- 16 Golden delicious apples
- 3/4 cup of butter
- 2 Tablespoons of cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of splenda
- 1/4 teaspoon of Nutmeg
- eggs(optional)
Pumpkin Cake

Prep: Preheat oven to 350˚F
- Ingredients for the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda (sifted to get rid of lumps)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 large eggs, room temp
- 1 cup oil (extra light olive oil, vegetable or corn oil will work)
- 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree (or make your own!)
- 1 package (8oz) Cream Cheese, room temp, cut into quarters
- 1 stick (8 Tbsp) unsalted butter butter, room temp
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tsp real vanilla extract
- Pecans to decorate, optional

- 1 cup solid vegetable shortening
- 1 teaspoon clear flavoring (vanilla, almond or butter)
- 7 to 8 teaspoons (35 to 40 mL) of water (could be milk)
- 1 tablespoon meringue powder
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- Pinch of salt
