Strawberry Tart

1. In a food processor, pulse together the flour, sugar and salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 sticks (6 ounces) cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch dice
- 1 large egg
- 7 oz bittersweet chocolate, melted (Special Dark)
- 1/4 cup seedless strawberry jam, melted
- 1 1/2 pints strawberries, hulled and halved lengthwise
Chocolate Amaretto Heart

Grease and flour a 6-inch heartshaped or round springform pan; line bottom with parchment or wax paper
- 6 tbs butter, softened
- 1 (4 oz) semisweet chocolate bar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 3 large eggs, separated
- 1/8 tsp salt
- Amaretto Buttercream Frosting
- 2 tbs butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbs amaretto
- French Chocolate Glaze
- 1 (4 oz) semisweet chocolate bars, chopped
- 1/4 cup whipping cream
- 2 tbs butter, melted
- Garnish: Candied Rose Petals
Ricotta Cookies (Sandy D.)

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease cookie sheets with shortening
- Glaze:
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 15 oz container of ricotta cheese
- 2 tsp vanilla extract (I use 1 tsp. vanilla extract and 1 tsp. lemon extract)
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup milk or combination of milk and half and half
- 2 tbs butter
- 4 cups confectioner’s sugar
- 1 tsp lemon extract
- Colored sugar and/or colored sprinkles (OPTIONAL)
Honey-Chicken Salad

1. Combine first 4 ingredients
- 4 cups chopped cooked chicken
- 3 celery ribs, diced (about 1'/2 cups)
- 1 cup sweetened dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
- 1/2 cups mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- Garnish: chopped toasted pecans
Chocolate Cookie Torte

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar
- Frosting:
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Additional sugar
- 2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup half-and-half cream
- 2 cups whipping cream, whipped
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Chocolate sprinkles
Granola to go bars (my recipe)

1. Combine oats and nuts in a 15 x 10 inch baking pan coated with cooking spray
- 3 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup chopped nuts (I used the can from the ice cream aisle)
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2/3 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup sunflower kernels
- 1/2 cup flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped dried apples
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Roast Leg of Lamb with Lemon-Herb Salt

Process first 5 ingredients in a food processor 2-3 minutes or until blended
- 1/3 cup loosely packed fresh rosemary leaves
- 1/3 cup loosely packed fresh oregano leaves
- 3 tsp lemon zest
- 1/4 cup kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 (5-7 lb) bone in leg of lamb, trimmed
- 2 tbs olive oil

1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water
- Filling:
- 1 pkg yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbs butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 - 2 1/4 cups flour
- 3 tbs butter, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Glaze:
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 6 1/2 tsp half and half cream
- 4 1/2 tsp butter, softened

- 3/4 cup + 1 tbs water
- 1 tbs butter
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 3 tbs sugar
- 1 tbs dry milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp yeast

- 2 tbs butter, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp butter, softened
- 1-2 tbs water or milk
