- Bread Flour: 1+3/4 cups
- Water: 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp, warm
- Active Dry Yeast: 1 tsp
- Salt: 3/4 tsp

- Garlic: 1 clove, pressed

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2-2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1-1/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups coarsely chopped walnuts, toasted
Roasted Green Beans with Mushrooms, Balsamic, and Parmesan

1. Preheat oven to 450F. 2
- 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced in 1/2 inch slices (I used brown crimini mushrooms, but any mushrooms will work)
- 1 lb. fresh green beans, preferably thin French style beans
- 1-1/2 T olive oil
- 1 T balsamic vinegar
- Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
- 2 T finely grated Parmesan cheese
Spicy Roasted Carrots

- 2 lbs baby carrots or peeled sliced larger carrots
- 2 Tablespoons water
- 1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon butter, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 small jalapeno, seeded, coarsely chopped
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon ancho chile powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (halves)
- 1 cup chicken broth or stock
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
- Flour for dredging
- 1 to 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 mushrooms, halved
Orzo Comfort Dish

- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 4 garlic cloves, sliced
- 1 cup orzo (I use tri-colored orzo)
- 2 cans (15-ounce) low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 (16-ounce) can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 1 teaspoon salt

- 3 Eggs

- 1 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
