Chocolate Banana Cream Pie (Dad loved this!)

Arrange banana slices on bottom of crust and set aside
- 1 (6 oz.) chocolate flavor crumb crust
- 2 medium bananas, sliced
- 1 3/4 cups cold milk
- 1 (4 serving size) package vanilla flavor instant pudding
- 1 (8 oz.) tub chocolate Cool Whip, thawed
Crispy Browned Butter Parmesan Roasted Potatoes

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 large cloves garlic finely chopped or minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh black pepper
- 3/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 lbs. red potatoes, washed and quartered
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped (for serving)
Chicken Marsala

Delicious version! Simple to make for a fabulous weeknight meal
- 8 chicken cutlets, about 1 1/2 pounds (or boneless thighs pounded thin)
- salt and pepper
- unbleached all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 small onion, chopped fine
- 8 ounces white mushrooms, quartered/ or sliced baby portobello mushrooms
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 3/4 cup sweet marsala wine
- 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth or 2/3 whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh minced parsley
- 1 teaspoon tomato paste (optional)
- 1/2 cup Gorgonzola (optional)
French Onion Soup

The last recipe I posted for French Onion soup was from Cook’s Illustrated and the soup came out great
- Soup
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter , cut into 3 pieces
- 6 large yellow onions (about 4 pounds), halved and cut pole to pole into 1/4-inch-thick slices (Make sure you get Yellow)
- Table salt
- 2 cups water, plus extra for deglazing
- 1/2 cup dry sherry
- 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth (They recommend Swanson Certified Organic Free Range Chicken Broth )
- 2 cups beef broth (They recommend Pacific Beef Broth)
- 6 sprigs fresh thyme , tied with kitchen twine
- 1 bay leaf
- Ground black pepper
- Cheese Croutons
- 1 small baguette , cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 8 ounces shredded Gruyère cheese (about 2 1/2 cups)
Apple Sauce

Peel, core and cut apples into 1 1/2-inch chunks
- 12 large Granny Smith apples
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
Lemon Orange Bars

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, plus more for dusting
- 1 1/2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
- 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 2 ups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Sweet and Savory Ribs

Place onion in a 5-qt. slow cooker
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 pounds boneless country-style pork ribs
- 1 bottle (18 ounces) honey barbecue sauce
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Strawberry Cake

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Frosting:
- 1 package white cake mix
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 (3 oz.) package strawberry jello
- 1/2 cup salad oil
- 4 unbeaten eggs
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 3/4 package frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 package frozen strawberries
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- water, if needed
Grilled Parmesan Chicken

Combine mayo and cheese. Reserve 1/4 cup
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
Seafood Lasagna

Preheat oven to 350. Cook pasta in lightly salted water and drain
- 16 oz package lasagna noodles
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 - 16 oz jars Alfredo sauce
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound bay scallops
- 1 pound crab meat
- 1 egg
- 20 oz ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
- 6 cups shredded Italian cheese blend
