- Zest from 2 lemons

- WET INGREDIENTS
- 2 sticks plus 2 TBLS butter, room temperature
- 3 eggs
- 1 C sugar
- 1 C light brown sugar
- 2 C whole milk yogurt
- DRY INGREDIENTS
- 1 C cocoa powder
- pinch of cinnamon
- 2 C plus 2 TBLS flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder

This is an easy recipe for old world comfort food
- 2 Tbl vegetable oil
- 1 3 lb fryer, cut into pieces
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/4 C flour
- 2 medium onions sliced very thin
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbl Hungarian Paprika
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups of chicken stock
- 1/2 C sour cream

- Cupcakes
- 3 Tbls (1 1/2 oz) unsalted butter
- 3 Tbls ( 1 1/4 oz) vegetable oil
- 2/3 C (4 3/4 oz) sugar
- 2 Tbls (1/2 oz) King Arthur cake enhancer
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 3 Tbls (2 1/4 oz) boiled cider
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 1/2 C (6 1/4 oz) King Arthur Cake Flour
- 1/2 C (4 oz) milk, room temperature
- 1/2 C (3 oz) Apple cinnamon jammy bits
- Frosting
- 6 Tbls (3 oz) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 Tbl (3/8 oz) meringue powder
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 3 Tbls (2 1/4 oz) boiled cider
- 3 C confectioners sugar
- 1 Tbl milk, optional

In a saucepan mix the dry ingredients
- 1/4 C cocoa
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 C water
- 4 C milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Mustard Eggs

hard boiled eggs, marinated in a wonderful sweet yet tart mustard marinade
- For the sauce:
- Large clean mason jar, big enough to hold 12 hard boiled eggs (peeled)
- 4 Tbls yellow prepared mustard
- 2/3 c sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 c white vinegar
- 3/4 c water
- 2 drops yellow food coloring (optional)
