In a Dutch oven, saute onions in butter until tender
- 2 large red onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup butter, cubed
- 2 can (14 1/2 oz each) chicken broth
- 3 cups water
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 7 slices French bread (3/4" thick)
- 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
