Reuben Rolls

- 12-oz. 12-oz. 12-oz. can corned beef, sliced and shredded
- 8-oz. 8-oz. 8-oz. pkg. shredded Swiss cheese
- 2/3 2/3 2/3 c. sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 c. sweet onion, finely chopped
- 15 to 20 15 to 20 20 egg roll wrappers
- oil for deep frying
- Garnish: Thousand Island salad dressing
Grilled Nachos

Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat
- 10 cups (2.5 L) tortilla chips
- 2 lbs (1 kg) bulk pork sausage, cooked and drained
- 2 cans(127 mL each) Old El Paso* Chopped Green Chilies, drained
- 4 tsp (20 mL) Old El Paso* Taco Seasoning Mix (from 35 g pouch)
- 4 roma (plum) tomatoes, chopped (1 1/3 cups/325 mL)
- 4 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup/50 mL)
- 4 cups (1 L) finely shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese (about 1 lb/500 g)
Brownies

Whisk together butter, sugar eggs and vanilla Combine dry ingridients

- 2 t baking powder
- 1 c melted butter
- 1 c white sugar
- 1 c brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 t vanilla
Swiss Chard Gratin

In small saucepan of boiling salted water, cook potato until tender, 10 to 12 minutes
- This simple concoction can kill aphids, caterpillars, whitefly, spider mites and other garden pests. Be sure to use it on flowers and shrubs only, not fruit or vegetables.

- 500 gm (1 pound) rhubarb leaves
- Water
- 1 tbsp liquid dish soap
- Preparation
- Place the rhubarb leaves in a large stockpot. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Once the mixture has cooled, strain the liquid into a spray bottle dedicated for this use. Add 1 tbsp liquid dish soap, secure cap and shake. Spray on infested flowers or shrubs.
Lemon Herb Marinade

•In shallow glass or plastic dish or resealable food-storage plastic bag, mix all ingredients
- /3 cup (75 mL) olive or vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) lemon juice
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) chopped fresh or 1 tsp/5 mL dried basil leaves
- 2 tsp (10 mL) chopped fresh or 1/2 tsp (1 mL) dried thyme leaves
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
Orange Thyme Marinade

•Mix all ingredients in shallow glass or plastic dish or resealable plastic food-storage bag
- 1 tsp (5 mL) grated orange peel
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) orange juice
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) balsamic or red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetable oil
- 2 medium green onions, finely chopped (2 tbsp/25 mL)
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) chopped fresh thyme leaves
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
- 1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) pepper
Strawberry and Spinach Salad

In a small bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, sugar, raspberry concentrate, paprika, and Worcestershire
- Dressing:
- 8 cups baby spinach
- 2 cups fresh ripe strawberries
- 1/2 cup chopped toasted almonds
- 2 tbsp + 2 tsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp + 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp frozen raspberry concentrate, thawed
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
Waffles - Cinnamon Raisin

Mix together all dry ingredients in 1 bowl
- 2 c flour
- 4 T brown sugar
- 4 t baking powder
- 1/2 t salt
- 2 t cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 1 c milk
- 4 T oil
- 1/2 c raisins
Kelloggs Corn Flake Crumbs

Casserole topping: combine 1/2 c crumbs with 2 T melted butter
- Fish coating:
- dip fillets in milk or slightly beaten egg, then toss with crumbs mixed with parsley and parmesan cheese. Bake at 400 till cooked(10 min). or fry in vegetable oil till done.
Chinese Coleslaw Salad

Dressing: mix very well together oil, vinegar, sugar, soya sauce, sesame oil and stock packet from ichiban noodles
- 1/2 oil
- 1/4 c vinegar
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 T soya sauce
- 1/4 t sesame oil
- 1 packet ichiban noodle mix
- 1 package cut coleslaw mix.
- 1/4 c onions.
- 1/4 c sliced almonds
- 2 T seasame seeds
