Blend together butter and sugar; add egg and carrots
- Citrus Icing:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup carrot, peeled, cooked and mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 to 4 drops almond extract
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons orange or lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon orange or lemon zest
Chicago Style Crescent Dogs

- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1 can (8-ounce) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 4 teaspoons Dijon-style mustard

1.In a medium bowl, combine the bulgur and the water
- 2/3 cup bulgur
- 2/3 cup boiling water
- 4 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cups fresh (cut from about 6 ears) or frozen corn kernels
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 small red onion, chopped
- 1 1/3 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 4)
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper
- 1 tomato, seeded and chopped
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeds and ribs removed, minced
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro (optional)
- 4 tablespoons lime juice (from about 2 limes)
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne

- Cookie Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening (Fleischmann corn oil margarine)
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
- 1/4 cup orange juice from 1 medium orange (not frozen)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 cup sour cream (low fat)
- 3 1/2 cups of flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- Frosting Directions
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Add milk and/or left over orange juice from the orange slowly until the mixture is spreading consistency-not to thin. Add more powdered sugar if too thin. Frost cookies and leave out until frosting is set up.
