Brown Butter Salted Caramel Snickerdoodles

1. In a medium sized bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, cream of tarter, cinnamon, and set aside
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose Gold Medal flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, sliced
- 1 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup caramel squares, cut into 1/4's
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Coarse Sea salt for sprinkling on completed cookies
Old-Fashioned Dinner Rolls

Preheat the oven to 375°F
- 4 cups all-purpose flour + 1/2 cup for handling dough
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet quick-rise yeast
- 2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup water
- 2/3 cup milk
- 5 Tbsp salted butter + 2 Tbsp for brushing
- 1-1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1-1/2 tsp kosher salt, for finishing
Green Tomato Bread

Makes 2 loaves
- 3 eggs, beaten well
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 2 cups finely chopped green tomatoes, drained well on paper towels
Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Melt the butter in a saucepan
- 1 recipe pastry for a 9-inch double crust pie
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter. Try to not substitute unless there is a dietary need. The butter makes all the difference in the caramel.
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon of good quality vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 8 Granny Smith apples (or your favorite type of tart apple), peeled, cored and sliced
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon or to taste
Stovetop Apple Pie

- Pie topping:
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon canola oil
- 1/2 cup quick oatmeal
- 3 tablespoons firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans, hazelnuts, or walnuts
- Pinch fine sea salt
- Apple filling:
- 1 teaspoon canola oil
- 4 large apples, such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, peeled, cored, and sliced into six-teenths (about 2 pounds)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Slow Cooker Cran-Applesauce

- 1 cup unsweetened cocoaa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 cups grated carrots
- Frosting:
- 1 pound white chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups cream cheese
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Fresh Tomato Salsa

1 Start by roughly chopping the tomatoes, chiles, and onions
- 2-3 medium sized fresh tomatoes (from 1 lb to 1 1/2 lb), stems removed
- 1/2 red onion
- 2 serrano chiles or 1 jalapeño chile (stems, ribs, seeds removed), less or more to
- taste
- Juice of one lime
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pinch of dried oregano (crumble in your fingers before adding), more to taste
- Pinch of ground cumin, more to taste
