- 1/2 cup plain dry bread crumbs (recommended: Progresso)
- 2 extra-large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup ketchup (recommended: Heinz)
Vitamix: Basic Fruit Smoothie

1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid
- 1 cup (240 ml) soy milk
- 1/2 (65 g) medium banana, peeled
- 1-inch slice (2.5 cm) pineapple with core
Buffet Meatballs

In a small saucepan, combine the juice, jelly, ketchup and tomato sauce
- 1 cup grape juice
- 1 cup apple jelly
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 can (8 ounces) Hunt’s® Tomato Sauce
- 1 package (64 ounces) frozen fully cooked Italian meatballs
Pancakes: Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes

1. Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tablespoons melted butter or oil
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
- additional water if required
Alton's Blueberry Muffins

- 12 1/2 ounces cake flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Heavy pinch salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
- Vegetable spray, for the muffin tins
Vitamix: Fresh Tomato Sauce

1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid
- 6 medium Roma tomatoes, quartered or 4 cups chopped
- 1 small onion, peeled, halved or about 1/3 cup chopped
- 1 small carrot, halved or about 1/3 cup chopped
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) tomato paste
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
2014: Abuelo’s Jalapeno Cheese Fritters

- Makes about 80 fritters
- 1 (8 ounce) package Cream Cheese, softened
- 24 ounces Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 24 ounces Monterrey Cheese, shredded
- 8 ounces fresh Jalapenos, deseeded and finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Lawry’s seasoning
- Oil for Frying
- Breading
- 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1.5 quarts Bread Crumbs
- Egg Wash
- 4 eggs

Pork: Sweet and Sour Pork

1. Sprinkle pork pieces with paprika
- 3 pounds pork boneless, 2' strips
- 3 teaspoons paprika
- 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
- 2 onions thin slice
- 2 green bell peppers, cut in strips
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons dry milk powder
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes, crushed
- 2 cans pineapple chunks 13 1/2 oz. drain, reserve syrup
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Ina's Hot Chocolate

Heat the milk and half-and-half in a saucepan on medium heat to just below the simmering point
- 2 1/2 cups whole milk
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 4 ounces milk chocolate, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon instant espresso or coffee powder
- 4 to 5 vanilla beans or cinnamon sticks, for garnish
