Put the ice cubes in a cocktail shaker
- 6 ice cubes
- 1/4 cup sweet vermouth
- 1 cup bourbon whiskey
- Cocktail cherries, to decorate
- Put the ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Pour the vermouth and whiskey over the ice. Shake and then strain into cocktail glasses. Add a cherry, if desired, and serve.
David's Chocolate Chocolate Cream Cheese Brownies

In a medium-sized, microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate and margarine for 15 seconds at a time until melted
- Brownies:
- 6 oz. milk chocolate
- 5 Tbsp. margarine
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup crushed chocolate-covered pretzels
- Whipped cream or ice cream, to garnish
- Chocolate sauce, to garnish
- Cream Cheese Swirl:
- 2 oz. cream cheese at room temperature
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 tsp. flour

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line your cupcake tin with paper liners
- Ingredients (for the cake):
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 1/2 cup sour cream, room temperature
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- Ingredients (for the frosting):
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
- 3/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon golden syrup / light corn syrup
Pasta: Fettuccine Alfredo

- 1 lb, 5 oz (600 g) fresh fettuccine, or 1 lb (450 g) dried 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan, plus more for serving
- 8 tbsp (one stick) unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- salt and freshly ground black pepper

- • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- • 2 cups all-purpose flour
- • 1 teaspoon baking powder
- • 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter , softened
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- Chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, for garnish

1. Place apples, cider and ginger into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) apple cider
- 6 apples (preferably MacIntosh), seeded, quartered
- 1/2-inch square piece fresh ginger (or 1/2 teaspoon ground)
- 1 teaspoons groung allspice
- 1/4 cup (55 g) dark brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
Paula's Basil Mayonnaise

- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Chicken: Apple-Honey Drumsticks

- 12 skin-on chicken drumsticks
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
- 2 cups apple juice
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons honey
- Grated zest of 1 lemon
- 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
