1 Preheat the oven to 375F
- 2 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces

Kathy's New Old Fashioned Pot Roast

This is an easy recipe! My updated version of an old recipe! I have doubled the liquid because I like to make gravy...
- 3 to 3 1/2 pound Boneless Pot Roast (Rump, Chuck or Round)
- I prefer Rump or Bottom Round for this recipe.
- 2 envelopes Lipton Recipe Secrets Soup Mix ( Onion, Beefy Onion, Beefy Mushrooms, Onion Mushrooms).
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 2 cups dry red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon is good)
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme

- 7 to 8 pieces Oscar Meyer fully cooked bacon, cut in half

New York Style Cheesecake

Made from the Cook's Illustrated instructions, wonderful basic cheesecake
- Crust
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs (I used already crushed from the grocery)
- 5 tbsp of butter, melted plus 1 additional tbsp for greasing pan.
