  • 1 * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 * 1/2 cup sour cream
  • * FOR THE FROSTING
  • 1 3/4 * 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 3 * 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 * 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 * 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • * FOR THE CHOCOLATE COATING
  • 2 * 2 cups chopped (about 12 ounces) semisweet chocolate
  • 3 * 3 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
