Salmon and Asparagus Pasta

Adapted from a recipe by Joy Manning and Tara Mataraza at Serious Eats
- ¼ lb cooked salmon (poached, roasted, grilled, etc) or ¼ lb cooked arctic char (poached, roasted, grilled, etc)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ small yellow onion , thinly sliced
- ½ bunch thin asparagus spear , cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 ½ eggs , beaten
- 1 tablespoon milk or 1 tablespoon cream
- 1⁄8; cup freshly grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese
- ½ lb penne or ½ lb gemelli pasta or ½ lb casarecce pasta
- ½ to taste coarse salt
- ½ to taste fresh ground black pepper
Pecan Pumpkin Butter Bars

Heat oven to 350 F. Combine butter, pecans, coconut, and graham crackers
- 1/4 cup soft butter
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1 13.5-oz jar Muirhead Pecan Pumpkin Butter
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3 eggs
Bash Burgers

Make the bacon jam: Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp, 8 to 10 minutes
- 12 slices bacon, diced
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 1 sprig thyme, leaves stripped

- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 3/4 cup ketchup

- 1 cup water
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/4 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp ginger
Cookie Tips

- use unsalted butter for cookies
- Line pans with parchment paper. Slide parchment with cookies onto wire racks for cooling
- Bake all cookies at 325 using convection oven (just about 1/2 the time so watch carefully)
- Use thin rimless cookie sheets (not insulated)
- keep a pizza stone in oven to equalize the heat
- Use shortening for soft cookies
- Brown sugar also produces soft cookie
- Butter produces a crispier cookie because the butter melts faster than shortening
Salt-Encrusted Prime Rib Recipe
