The Best Strawberry Banana Bread

- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil (liquid-state coconut oil may be substituted)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup sour cream (lite is okay; or Greek yogurt may be substituted)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus additional if necessary (see step 4 in directions)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 large or 3 small bananas)
- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, quartered and tossed in 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour (helps prevent sinking to bottom of the pan)

You can't go wrong with making a big pot of healthy and hearty beef stew for everyone in the family to enjoy
- 2 pounds beef (stew meat, chuck roast, or other cut), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil (extra-virgin, or lard, or vegetable oil)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups water with beef base or bullion, or 2 cups beef stock
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup onions, minced
- 1 garlic clove, minced or pre-prepared
- 6 carrots (about 2 cups), cut into 1-inch pieces
- 4 large potatoes (about 3 cups), cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup peas, or celery cut into 3/4-inch pieces
Picnic Potatoes

Place potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water

- 1-1/2 cups prepared ranch salad dressing
