Gnocchi Carbonara

all Trader Joe's ingredients
- 1 pkg. TJ's whole grain gnocchi
- 1 jar TJ's Alfred Sauce
- 1/2 pkg Frozen Peas, thawed
- 1 container diced prosciutto or diced pancetta
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 pkg. TJ's Parmesan Croutons or Crisps, crushed
Indian Masala Chai

There are many versions of this tea
- 12 whole cloves
- 6 cardamom pods
- 3 cinnamon stick, broken into pieces
- 9 cups water
- 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons black tea (decaf is best)
White Glue

Mix 3/4 cup water, syrup and vinegar in small saucepan
- 1 1/2 cups cold water
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
All in One Cake and Frosting

Frosting: In bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla well
- 6 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 T. vanilla
- 1 (2 Lb) pkg. powdered sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
- 2/3 c. water, room temp
Giada's Marinara Soup

Combine all in pot and cook until pasta is done
- 1 can beans, rinsed
- 1 jar maranara sauce
- 4 c water (approx. just to a soup consistency)

- 1 can chili beans, drained
- 16 oz sour cream

Book Club Irish Scones

Preheat oven to 392 degrees
- 2 cups self rising flour, or use regular flour with 2 t. baking powder
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 stick margarine or butter
- 1/2 cup dried fruit, raisins, dried cranberries (optional) I sometimes use the orange cranberries from Trader Joe's
Pesto alla Genovese

1. If you do not have a food processor you can make this recipe in a blender using the setting "puree
- 1 1/2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Mock Bread Pudding

Cook noodles in boiling water, cooking oil and a bit of salt
- 8 oz.Broad egg noodles, broken up
- 1 T. cooking oil
- 2 t. salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 1/2 brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 t. vanilla
- 3/4 t. salt
- 1/2 cinnamon
Pancetta, Gorgonzola and Egg Salad Sandwich

- 3 * 3 hard boiled eggs, peeled and coarsely chopped
