- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 1/2 c part skim Mozzarella cheese, divided
- 2 c. light ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
- 1/2 c. parmesan grated cheese, divided
- 1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 jar, 24 oz pasta sauce of choice
- 1 1/2 c, water
- 12 lasagna noodles, uncooked

- 2 to 3 tbsp. sugar
- 3 tbsp. plus 1//4 c. minced parsley
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 3/4 tsp fennel seed
- 3/4 tsp salt, divided
- 3/4 tsp coarsely ground pepper
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 carton ( 15 0z.) ricotta or dry cottage cheese
- 4 c. (16oz) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
