Beef Bourguignon with Red Wine

Slowly cook bacon in large skillet; remove to crockpot
- 1 * 1 lb. bacon, cooked, reserve grease
- 3 * 3 lbs. beef, cubed
- * flour
- 1 1/2 * 1 1/2 cups red wine
- 1/2 * 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 * 2 ribs celery, sliced
- 2 * 2 carrots, diced
- 4 to 8 * 4 to 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 2 * 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 * 1 bay leaf
- * salt and pepper
Hungarian Goulash

Put round steak, onion, salt and pepper in crockpot
- 2 pounds round steak cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 12 ounce can tomatoes
- 1 cup sour cream
Wild Mushroom Beef Stew

Combine flour, salt, pepper and thyme in small bowl
- 2 pounds beef for stew, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed
- 3/4 cup ready-to-serve beef broth
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1/4 cup dry red wine
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound red-skinned potatoes (1-1/2-inch diameter), cut into quarters
- 8 ounces assorted mushrooms, such as shiitake, cremini and oyster, cut into quarters
- 1 cup baby carrots
- Fresh parsley (optional)
HERBED PORK TENDERLOIN WITH OVEN

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Stir oil, garlic and seasonings; coat meat with 3 tablespoons of seasoning mixture
- 1/3 c. olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp. dried rosemary leaves, crushed
- 2 tsp. dried thyme leaves, crushed
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 whole pork tenderloins (3/4 to 1 lb. each)
- 2 1/2 lbs. new potatoes, quartered
Aduki Bean and Vegetable Crumble

1- In the morning, cover the beans with boiling water and leave to soak for several hours
- 2 oz (55 g) aduki beans (1/2 cup)
- 1 small onion
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 small carrot
- 1 small zucchini
- 1/4 tsp sage
- 2 tsp soya sauce
- 1 oz (30g) vegan margarine (1/8 cup)
- 2 oz (55g) wholemeal (whole wheat) flour (1/2 cup)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- sea salt and pepper to taste
Poached Jumbo Prawn

1. Trim the prawns, and de-vein
- Seasoning:
- 1-1/2 lb fresh prawn
- 6 slices ginger
- 3 stalks scallion
- 1 tablespoon rice wine
- 8 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon “HON-DASHI”
- Dipping sauce (2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon mustard)
Crockpot Split Pea Soup

1. In a slow cooker, layer the first nine ingredients in order listed (do not stir)
- 1 * 1 pound dried split peas
- 2-1/4 * 2-1/4 cups diced fully cooked lean ham
- 1 * 1 cup and 2 tablespoons diced carrots
- 1-1/8 * 1-1/8 medium onion, chopped
- 2-1/4 * 2-1/4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2-1/4 * 2-1/4 bay leaves
- 1/2 * 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 * 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 5-1/2 * 5-1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 * 1 cup and 2 tablespoons hot milk
