No-Butter Chicken

Put a large skillet over medium-high heat and add oil
- This recipe and ingredient list is posted correctly. During the show Bal used 2 tbsp of minced garlic. I'd say use your discretion, if you enjoy garlic, add it!
- 2 to 3 tablespoons grapeseed oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped ginger
- 1 cup chopped red onion
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- pinch chili pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup water

Oh my gosh, this is such a long overdue post! I've been meaning to add this as well as update the But what happen...
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 lb boneless chicken thighs cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 15 green cardamom pods (strung together with needle and thread or put in cheese cloth. Can also substitute 2 tsp ground cardamom)
- 2 tsp curry powder
- 1 tsp cayenne powder (optional) It’s really hot if you add this
- 2 tsp tandoori masala
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp curry paste (I like Patak’s mild curry paste)
- 1 400ml can coconut milk
- 1 5.5 fl oz can of tomato paste
- 1 cup plain yogurt (optional)
- Salt to taste

- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
