Bread: Let yeast rise. Mix all together and add flour
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup SMP (?skim milk powder)
- 4 cups hot water
- 1 teaspoon yeast added to 1/2 cups warm water and 1 teaspoon sugar
- 12 cups of flour
- Buns
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups hot water
- 1 egg
- Add yeast as above plus 12 cups of flour.
Apple Puffs (Muffins) - B

Cream butter and sugar together
- • 1/4 cup melted butter
- • 1/2 cup sugar
- • one egg lady
- • 1/2 cup milk
- • 1/2 cup flour
- • 1 teaspoon baking powder
- • 1/2 teaspoon salt
- • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- • 1 cup grated apple
- Topping
- 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Meatball Cooking Sauce - Curried

Golden Carrot Soup

- 5 cups of water
- 2 1/2 cups sliced carrots

- 2 T chicken bouillon

Suzanne’s Thai Broccoli/Cauliflower Soup [Moderately Hot]

1. In a medium saucepan, combine the broth in the uncooked wild rice
- 3 3 3 cups chicken broth
- 1/3 1/3 1/3 cup wild rice, minced and drained
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup sliced green onion
- 3/4 3/4 3/4 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 1/4 1% cup of 1% milk
- 2 2 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 1/4 1 teaspoon dried thyme [or 1 teaspoon fresh, snipped]
- 1/8 1/8 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup broccoli and/or cauliflower [or puréed veggies]
- 1 1 1 tablespoon cooking sherry
- 1 1 1 tablespoon fish sauce [found in the specialty food section]
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes [or use less if you wish]
Maritimer Sandwich

- Pollock [shaped and colored imitate shellfish]
- 1/3 cup Pollock
- 2 tablespoons light mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped red suite pepper
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped sweet pickle
- 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
- salt and pepper to taste

Rice Pilaf

- 3/4 c basmati rice
- 1.5 c chicken broth

- 1/2 c chopped onion
- 1/2 c green pepper (or yellow)
- 1-2 tomatoes, cut up
- 1-1.5 T chili powder
- 1-2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 can pork and beans
- salt to taste

Suzanne’s Thai Wild Rice Mushroom Soup

1.In a medium saucepan, combine the broth and the uncooked wild rice
- Moderately hot/I use Costco’s Dried Shiitake Mushrooms
- 3.5 about 3.5 cups
- The Night Before
- 3 3 3 cups chicken broth
- 1/3 1/3 1/3 cups wild rice, rinsed and drained (to cook fast, I also use the same method as over and leave them overnight in the water) OR
- 1/3 1/3 cup of any leftover white/wild rice mixture you have on hand and cook much less time
- 1/2 1/2 4) cup thinly sliced green onions (about 4)
- 3/4 3/4 3/4 cup coconut milk (regular or lite)
- 1/4 1/4 1% cup 1% milk
- 2 2 2 T all purpose flour
- 1/4 1/4 1 tsp dried thyme (or 1 tsp fresh, snipped)
- 1/8 1/8 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup mushrooms (fresh white mushrooms or dried shiitake)

Sun-dried Tomato and Onion Cornbread

1. Preheat over to 400’
- 1 c corn meal
- 1 cup AP flour
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1 T baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 sundried tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green onions
- 2 c grated Monterey Jack cheese or extra old cheddar
- 1 c milk
- 2 T melted butter
- 1 large egg
