CEREAL SLICES

Simmer brown sugar, butter and syrup for 2 minutes
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup golden corn syrup
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 cups cornflakes
- 1/2 cup coconut
- 1 cup Rice Krispies
FRENCH BREAD PIZZA

Place bread halves on a jelly-roll pan
- 1 loaf French bread, split lengthwise
- 2 cups (500 mL) tomato-based pasta sauce, divided
- 2 cups (500 mL) thinly sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 cup (250 mL) sliced pepperoni
- 2 cups (500 mL) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp (5 mL) oregano, crumbled
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) freshly ground pepper
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
QUINOA TABBOULEH WITH FETA

- 1 cup quinoa
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (2 lemons)
- 1 cup thinly sliced green onions, white and green parts (5 green onions)
- 1 cup chopped fresh mint leaves (2 bunches)
- 1 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 1 cucumber, medium-diced
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved through the stem
- 2 cups medium-diced feta (8 oz)
PEANUT BUTTER BALLS (Trisha Yearwood)

In a large saucepan, stir the sugar and the syrups together over medium heat
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/2 cup white corn syrup
- 2 cups crunchy peanut butter
- 4 cups rice cereal
WARM SPICED OLIVES

Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat; using side of knife crush garlic
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp each chopped fresh rosemary and thyme
- 1/2 tsp hot pepper flakes
- Half each sweet red and yellow peppers
- 2 cups cured green olives
- 2 cups Kalamata olives
- 1 tsp grated lemon peel
Stuffed Rosemary Brie

- 2 ounces dried shiitake mushrooms, rehydrated (page18), stemmed, and chopped
- 1/2 to 1 bunch green onions (scallions), white and green parts, chopped
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 to 4 tablespoons minced fresh rosemary
- 1 1/2 cups almonds, toasted (page 27) and chopped
- 2 pounds brie (wheel or wedge)
ENGLISH CRABBIES

Melt butter and cheese on low heat in saucepan
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 small package Velveeta cheese
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 green onions, chopped fine
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tin crab meat or (1 package imitation crab meat)
- 12 English muffins
PASTA SALAD WITH LEMON & TOMATOES

To prepare dressing, whisk together lemon juice, mustard, lemon peel, salt and pepper until combined
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp (10 mL) grated lemon peel
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) olive oil
- 4 cups (1 L) penne pasta, cooked, rinsed and drained
- 2 cups (500 mL) halved cherry tomatoes
- 11/2 cups (375 mL) shredded feta cheese
- 1 cup (250 mL) sliced green onions
- 11/2 cups (375 mL) diced red bell pepper

- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARK
