Kansas City-Style Ribs

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and seasonings; sprinkle over ribs
- SAUCE:
- 1-1/3 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons each garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika
- 1-1/4 teaspoons each ground cumin, coarsely ground pepper and cayenne pepper
- 12 bone-in country-style pork ribs (about 7 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Cranberry Salad

Cook cranberries and water until berries pop open
- 1 bag cranberries
- 2 c water
- 2 boxes cherry jello
- 3 c sugar
- 1 c chopped pecans

- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup whipping cream

- 1 T light corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla

- 1/2 lb sliced salami

Tricky Taco Soup

- 1 T extra virgin olive oil
- 1 med. onion, pureed or very finely chopped
- 1 (8-oz) can tomato paste
- 1/2 cup mild salsa
- 1/4 cup orange puree
- 1/4 cup white bean puree
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 pound chicken meat, cooked and shredded
- 2 tsp lime juice
- salt and pepper
- garnishes: crumbled tortilla chips, shredded cheese, sour cream, corn
Pork Tenderloin Sandwich

Trim the excess fat from the tenderloin and cut it into 6 equal pieces, approximately 2" wide for each piece
- 1 boneless pork tenderloin, 2-3 pounds (or buy thinly-pounded pork tenderloin at the store)
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 sleeve Saltine crackers
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable or Grapeseed oil, for pan frying
- For serving: hamburger buns, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, pickles
Crock Pot Chicken With Black Beans

Take 4-5 frozen, boneless chicken breasts put into crock pot
- 4 -5 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can black beans
- 1 cup corn
- 1 (15 ounce) jar salsa, any kind
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 1/4 c diced onion
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 clove garlic

- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
