Heat the oven to 375 degrees
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup fine cornmeal
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup diced sun-dried tomatoes
- 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded mozzarella
- 1/3 cup finely chopped pepperoni (optional)
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
Braided Coffee Cakes

In a saucepan, heat milk, butter, and water to 120 degrees
- Cream cheese filling:
- 3 cups flour
- 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp quick rise yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 egg
- 6 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 T margarine, softened
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 T butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2-3 T milk
Chocolate Truffle Cake

In a large saucepan, cook the milk, butter and chocolate over low heat until melted

- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped

- 3/4 cup fine, dry breadcrumbs

- 1 1/2 pounds fresh lump crabmeat, picked and drained
- 1/2 cup minced green onions
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 lemon, peeled and quartered
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine

- 2 qt. strawberries
- 1 large package strawberry jello
- hot water
- 1 large container Cool Whip
Blue Ribbon Barbecue Ribs

- 2 slabs St. Louis-style ribs or baby back ribs
- 3/4 cup Rib Rub #99 (see below)
- 1/4 cup Sugar In The Raw
- 1/2 cup honey
- Cayenne pepper, as needed
- 2/3 cup apple juice
- 2 cups your favorite barbecue sauce
- Makes about 1-1/2 cup

- 1/4 cup paprika
- 2 tablespoons finely ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- Combine all ingredients, mix well, and store in an airtight container.
