Braided easy egg bread

In a mixing bowl add 2 cups of flour, sugar and yeast
- 4 cups (480 grams) bread flour (I used Pillsbury)
- 2 tsp active dry yeast (I used Red Star)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter, diced
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs + 3 egg whites, lightly beaten
- Topping
- 1 egg yolked mixed with few drops of milk
- more flour for dusting the working area
Apple Bread

In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients
- TOPPING:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups chopped peeled tart apples
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- 1/3 cup cold butter
Tomato Soup - Creamy

In saucepan, cook onion and garlic in oil for 5 minutes or until softened
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 T olive oil
- 1 T butter
- 28 - oz can whole plum tomatoes, chopped, reserving the juice (or fresh tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped)
- 29 - oz can tomato puree
- 1 large baking potato, peeled and cubed
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups 1 % milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs (basil, dill, thyme, etc.)
- 1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt for garnish, optional
