Butter Crescents

Warm the milk in a small saucepan until bubbles form at the edges; remove from heat
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
- 1 egg
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
Mushroom Burgers (vegan)

- 1 tbsp sunflower oil, plus extra for brushing
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 1/2 cups white mushrooms, finely chopped
- 15 oz/425 g red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh flat leaf parsley

- 4 cups (1 L) apples, peeled, cored and cut into pieces (Cortland, Spartan or Granny Smith) or other seasonal fruit

Lemon & Asparagus Pasta

Bring a large pot of water to a boil, and boil the pasta according to package directions
- 2 Cups Uncooked Penne or other short pasta shape (you can use a gluten-free pasta if you like)
- 1 Bunch of Asparagus, cut into 2 inch lengths
- 1 Cup of your favourite Non-Dairy Milk (such as soy or almond)
- Zest from 1 Lemon
- Juice from 1/2 of a Lemon (about 1 1/2 Tablespoons)
- 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 Tablespoons All-Purpose Flour (or gluten-free all-purpose blend)
- 2 Teaspoons Dijon Mustard
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
