In a large saucepan, combine the water, butter and bouillon
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon chicken or 1/2 vegetable bouillon cube
- 1 cup uncooked long grain rice
- 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Chocolate Valentine Cake

In small bowl, melt chocolate in microwave 2 minutes
- 1 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups (19) oz can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
- 4 eggs or 1 cup egg substitute
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 t. B.P.
- 1 T. powdered sugar
Orzo Chicken Soup

In a large saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) reduced-sodium chicken broth, divided
- 1/2 cup sliced carrot
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup cubed cooked chicken breast
- 1/2 cup uncooked orzo pasta
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Minced fresh parsley

In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, milk and eggs
- : Cream Sauce:
- 1/2 c all-purpose flour
- 2 TB sugar
- 1/4 ts salt
- 1/2 c skim milk
- 2 eggs beaten -OR-
- 1/2 c egg substitute - thawed
- 1 TB margarine or butter
- 16 oz can sliced peaches in extra
- : light syrup, drained,
- : reserving 3 TB liquid
- 2 TB chopped pecans
- 1/8 ts cinnamon
- 1/4 c nonfat sour cream
- 2 TB powdered sugar
- 3 TB reserved peach liquid
- 1/8 ts almond extract

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cold butter, cubed
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup molasses

- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil

Magic Cookie Bars

Preheat oven to 350*. (325* for glass dish) In 13X9 baking dish, melt butter in oven
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 1 (14 oz) eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (6 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (3 1/2 oz) can flaked coconut (1 1/3 cup)
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Spicy Asian Slaw

Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl
- 1 cup matchstick-cut carrots
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 1 (16-ounce) package cabbage-and-carrot coleslaw
- 3 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 2 teaspoons chile paste with garlic (such as sambal oelek)
- 2 tablespoons chopped dry-roasted peanuts
Confetti Wild Rice Soup

In 3 1/2 or 4 quart slow cooker combine all ingredients except thawed vegetables; mix well
- 2/3 cup wild rice -- rinsed, drained
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3 canschicken broth - (14 1/2 oz ea)
- 2 medium carrots -- sliced thin
- 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
- 2 skinless boneless chicken breast halves -- cut in 1/2" pieces
- OR
- 1 cup cubed cooked ham
- 1 1/2 cup frozen corn -- thawed
- 1 cup frozen broccoli cuts -- thawed
