SPICE COOKIES

In small mixer bowl cream together butter or margarine and brown sugar
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
CHEDDAR BAKED POTATOES

In small bowl combine soup, paprika and pepper
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 medium baking potatoes cut into 1/4" slices (4 cups)
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
BBQ POTATO, BACON & CORN SALAD

Mix dressing, barbecue sauce and mustard in large bowl, add all remaining ingredients except for bacon, mix lightly
- 1/3 cup ranch dressing
- 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
- 3 lbs. red potatoes cooked and quartered
- 1 can whole kernel corn drained
- 1/2 cup sliced celery
- 1/2 cup chopped red peppers
- 1/2 cup chopped red onion
- 8 sliced bacon crisply cooked crumbled
CHICKEN CARBONNADE

Melt butter in large nonstick skillet over medium high heat
- 2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) unsalted butter
- 4 large chicken thighs with skin and bone
- 3/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 pound onions, thinly sliced
- 3 teaspoons (packed) dark brown sugar, divided
- 4 small bay leaves
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 cup dark beer
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 to 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar

Sift flour, cinnamon, cloves and salt into medium size bowl
- 2-1/4 cups sifted all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups ground blanched almonds
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- Extra powdered sugar
TIMELY FRIED CHICKEN

Stir together first 3 ingredients in a shallow dish
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 whole chickens cut up
- vegetable oil
OLIVES MARINATED WITH HERBS
