- Cooking spray
- 2 teaspoons yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 ounces Canadian bacon cut into thin strips
- 3 cups fresh corn kernels (about 6 ears)
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk divided
- 1/3 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh chives (optional)

Preheat oven to 375°. Pour melted butter into an 13x9-inch baking dish
- 1 1 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1⁄2 1⁄2 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 11 11⁄2 3 cups plus 3 tablespoons granulated sugar, divided
- 1 1 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 2 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3 3⁄4 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 2 2 cups whole milk
- 4 4 4 cups fresh strawberries, halved

Cheddar and Onion Yeast Rolls

1.Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a small skillet over medium heat on stovetop
- ½ cup vegetable oil, divided
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 (.25-ounce) package active dry yeast
- ½ cup sugar, divided
- 1½ cups warm milk (105º to 115º), divided
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4¾ cups bread flour
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Heat the oil to 350 degrees F
- 1 1/2 quarts peanut oil, for frying
- 1 1/2 cups self-rising cornmeal
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 (7-ounce) can diced jalapeno peppers, drained or 3/4 cup fresh jalapenos, seeded and finely diced
- 1 (15-ounce) can creamed corn
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
