Savory Cheese Puffs

Heat oven to 400. Sift together flour, slat, pepper, thyme, and cayenne
- 1/2 C flour
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 C milk
- 8 T unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1/2 C grated Parmesan
- 1/2 C grated Gruyere
- egg wash made from 1 large egg and 1 tsp water.
Quick Olive Basil Bread

Preheat oven to 350. Crush olives with knife
- 1 cup black olives
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, minced
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 2/3 cup buttermilk
Filet Mignos with Brandy, Cream and Peppercorns

In a small bowl, combine ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and greem peppercorns or cayenne
- 2 T ketchup
- 3 T Dijon mustard
- 4 drops Worcestershire sauce
- 2 T greem peppercorns or pinch cayenne pepper
- 3 T butter
- 3 T olive oil
- 6 filet mignons, 3/4 inch thick
- 1/3 C brandy
- 1/2 C whipping cream
- salt
Teriyaki Burgers

Combine first 5 ingredients
- 1/4 C reserved pineapple juice
- 3 T steak sauce
- 2 T soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp finely grated gingerroot, or 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 C chopped fresh bean sprouts
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 4 canned pineapple slices, drained and juice reserved
Swiss Apple Breakfast Loaf

Preheat oven to 375. Butter and flour 2 loaf pans
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups peeled diced apple
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup wheat bran
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups diced Canadian Swiss Cheese
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Banana Bread

Preheat oven to 350. Butter a 9x5x3 loaf pan
- 1/2 C unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 C sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 C flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 C mashed very ripe bananas
- 1/2 C sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 C chopped walnuts or pecans
Raspberry Smacks

Bottom Layer: Crumble first 7 ingredients together until mealy
- 1 1/2 C flour
- 1/2 C brown sugar
- 1/2 C butter
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 C raspberry jam (or less)
- 2 egg whites
- 1 brown sugar
- 1/2 C chopped walnuts (optional)
Whole Wheat Banana Nut Loaf

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a loaf pan
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- pinch nutmeg
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup well mashed ripe bananas
Grilled Potatoes with Lome Mayonnaise

Cut the potatoes ito 1/2 " thick slices
- Lime Mayo:
- 1 lb potatoes, unpeeled
- 3 T butter, melted
- 2 T chopped fresh thume
- paprika, for dusting
- 2/3 C mayonnaise
- 2 tsp lime juice
- finely grated rind of 1 lime
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- pinch paprika
- salt and papper
BBQ Chicken

- 1 C gingerale
- 1/2 C orange juice
- 1/2 C finely chopped onion
- 1/4 C corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 broiling chicken
