Strawberry Sorbet

Put all ingredients into a blender and process until smooth and sugar dissolves
- 2 pints strawberries, washed, dried, hulled and halved
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Raspberry Fudge

Prepare an 8x8 pan by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying the foil with nonstick cooking spray
- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 cup cream
- 1/2 cup seedless raspberry preserves
- (1/4 cup raspberry liquer)
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1/8 tsp lemon juice
- red food coloring (optional)
Sweet-and-Sour Sauce

In a small bowl, combine the water and cornstarch, and stir to mix them well
- For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup chicken stock or vegetable stock
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon pineapple juice from canned pineapple chunks, or orange juice
- For the Sweet-and-Sour Chicken:
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry or Shaoxing rice wine
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
- 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped red and green peppers
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup canned pineapple chunks
- 3 tablespoons chopped green onion

- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp red-pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp anise seed, crushed
