  • 2 1/2 - 3 pound beef chuck pot roast
  • 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 1/2 cups V-8 juice
  • 1 cup Burgundy wine
  • 1/2 can beef broth (7 ounces)
  • sprinkling of coarse salt
  • 1 tsp. each of basil, thyme & parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. each of salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 3 carrots, chopped into 1/2" pieces
  • 1 large onion, minced
  • Wondra flour

First made 10/6/2011. Excellent, hearty stick to your ribs sauce

  • 1 T. garlic dipping oil
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery ribs, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 pound of ground veal
  • 1- 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes with basil
  • 2 T. tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup low-salt chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 3 T. finely chopped fresh basil or 2 tsp. dried
  • 1/4 salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper,or to taste

  • 3 Full boneless chicken breasts (6 halves)
  • (I use chicken cutlets)
  • 6 slices boiled ham, thinly sliced
  • 6 slices swiss cheese
  • 1 stick margarine or butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
