Cream Cheese Coffee Braids

Great for a company brunch
- For the filling:
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tblsp yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 beaten eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 6 oz cream cheese
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
- For the glaze;
- 2 cups powder sugar
- 1/4 cup milk or half and half
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Toasted sliced almonds
Whole grain sourdough sandwich loaf

Good loaf of bread for toast or sandwiches
- 2/3 cup sourdough starter
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup potato flour
- 1-1/2 cup bread flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/3 cup grains and seeds ( oats, wheat, flax or other) opt.
- 2 tsp vital wheat gluten
- 1 tblsp agave syrup
- 1 tblsp olive oil
- 1-1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp yeast
Peanut Butter Brittle

This is a popular brittle that can be switched up just by changing the choice of nuts
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups karo
- 2 cups salted peanuts, or other nuts
- 2 1/2 cups peanut butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp. Soda
Orange and Jicama with pequin vinaigrette

Mix the sauce in a blender
- Sauce:
- 8 oranges, sections
- 2 cups peeled and Julliane jicama
- 1 bunch torn watercress
- 1/2 cups sliced thin
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup oil
- 3 tblsp lime juice
- 1-2 dried sequin, or crushed red pepper
- Salt and pepper
Crock pot barbeque sandwiches

Put it in the pot and let it cook for 6-7 hours
- 3-4 lb chuck roast
- 3 cups celery
- 1 cup onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tblsp brown sugar
- 2 tblsp vinegar
- 2 tblsp mustard
- 2 tblsp worchestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tblsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 2 tsp paprika

- 4 cups small mushrooms
- Apple cider vinegar to cover
- 2 tsp pickling spices
- 3 tblsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Stuffed peppers, Mexican Style

- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 tblsp garlic
- 1 tblsp veg oil
- 1 cup uncooked, or cooked, rice
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 can black beans
- 2 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup corn
- 1/2 cup salsa picante
- 1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder

- 1/2 tsp bkg soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup blueberries
barbeque sauce

- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tblsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne
- 1 thick slice lemon
- 1 sliced onion

- 2 tblsp. sugar
- mix together and simmer 20 minutes then add
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tblsp worchestershire sauce
