German Potato Salad

A family favorite made by my Grandma
- Bacon
- onion, chopped
- Sauce: 1 cup water
- 4 Tbs vinegar
- 2 Tbs sugar
- Salt and pepper
- 1 Tbs cornstarch
- 2 Tbs water
- 2 1/2 # potatoes cooked and cut into slices or chunks
Cream Puffs

Boil butter and water together
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup flour
- 4 eggs
Endive Stuffed with Goat Cheese and Walnuts

From pretty presentation to fantastic flavor, you can't go wrong with this simple appetizer
- 1/3 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
- 2 Tbs honey, divided
- Cooking spray
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 Tbs orange juice
- 16 Belgian endive leaves (about 2 heads)
- 1/3 cup (1 1/2 oz) crumbled goat cheese
- 16 small orange sections (about 2 naval oranges)
- 1 Tbs minced fresh chives
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
Classic Cole Slaw

Combine the first 4 ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 3 Tbs lemon juice
- 2 Tbs sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced green pepper
Oven Roasted Potatoes

- red potatoes
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
- Hungarian sweet paprika
Corn Avocado Salad

Really good with fish tacos
- Dressing:
- 2 cups cooked corn, fresh or frozen
- 1-2 avocados, cut into 1/2" cubes
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup finely diced red onion
- 2 Tbs olive oil
- 1/2 tsp grated lime zest
- 1 Tbs fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Vanilla Ice Cream

Beat eggs untill very light and fluffy
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 quart milk
- 1 cup powdered milk (do not add water)
- 3 cups whipping cream
- 1 1/2 Tbs vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
Swedish Chicken Sylta

Combine first 5 ingredients and add water to just cover and cook until chiken is tender
- 3 half chicken breasts with bone
- 3 bay leaves
- 10 whole all spice
- celery leaves
- 1 small onion, cut in pieces
- water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 packages knox gelatin
Window Cleaner

- 1/2 cup amonia
- 1/2 cup isoprophyl rubbing alcohol
- 1/2 cup water
Italian Kale

An easy preparation of kale
- 1 bunch kale, stems removed and leaves coarsely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbs olive oil
- 2 Tbs balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
- 1/2 cup nuts-almonds, pine nuts or cashews
