Blue Cheese Coleslaw

1. Mix the cabbage and carrot in a large bowl
- Makes 4 side servings or 8 sandwich filling servings.
- 2 cups cabbage (shredded)
- 1 carrot (shredded)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons grainy mustard
- 1 lemon (juice)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup blue cheese (crumbled)
- 1 handful parsley (chopped)

- 1 8 ounce package cream cheese softened
- 3 tablespoons butter softened
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Heat oven to 350°. Grease an 11 x 7 baking dish
- One quarter cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 3 cups pitted sweet cherries
- 1 2/3 cup bleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
One dish chicken and rice bake

In 2 quart shallow baking dish mix soup, water, Rice, paprika, and pepper
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup water*
- 3/4 cup uncooked regular white rice
- one quarter teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- *For creamier Rice, increase water to 1 1/3 cups.
Hazelnut cream stuffed snickerdoodle sandwich cookies

Preheat oven to 375° line a cookie sheet with parchment
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- three -quarter teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup +2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- one egg
- 1 teaspoon. Vanilla extract
- three -quarter cup blanched and peeled hazelnuts toasted
- one quarter cup confectioners' sugar sifted

- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), at room temperature

- 1/4 cup instant espresso coffee granules
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup
