Vinegar Glass Cleaner

Corned Beef and Cabbage in Guinness

The Irish butcher at my market gave me a new (to me anyway) recipe for corned beef & cabbage; he told me to cook it...
- 4 lbs flat cut corned beef brisket
- 1 (12 ounce) bottle Guinness draught (make sure you use Guinness draught, not stout as it will turn it bitter!)
- 1 medium yellow onion , peeled and cut into wedges
- 3 garlic cloves , minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 ⁄8;-1/4 teaspoon ground cloves (to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 head cabbage , cut into wedges, rinsed and drained
- 6 medium white potatoes , peeled and quartered
- 1 -2 lb carrot , peeled and cut into 3-inch pieces
Super Creamy Mac and Cheese

Cook your pasta in MILK instead of water
- 2 1/2 cups whole wheat pasta
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1/2 t. sea salt
- 1 cup shredded cheese (I use white cheddar)
Carrot Cake

Preheat oven to 350F. Beat cooking oil and sugar together in mixing bowl
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups carrots, grated
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts, optional
Curry Sauce

1. Melt the butter in a small heavy-bottomed pot over medium-low heat; add the shallots, garlic, and ginger
- 3 Tbsp (45 mL) unsalted butter
- 2 medium shallots, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch (2.5 cm) piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- 3 Tbsp (45 mL) good quality curry powder
- One 14 oz (398 mL) can coconut milk
- 3 Tbsp (45 mL) chutney (any kind)
- 1 tsp (5 mL) concentrated chicken stock paste
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1-2 tsp Spice 2.0 Chili Paste
Creamy Roasted Garlic Vinaigrette

1. Preheat oven or toaster oven to 400 degrees
- 1 bulb garlic
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil, plus 1 teaspoon
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 egg yolk (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Cashew Nut Loaf

Mix all ingredients together
- 2 cups raw cashews, ground
- 2 cups gluten, ground
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup celery, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup soy milk
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 tsp. chicken bouillon powder
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt.
Pecan Pie Squares

In a medium bowl, combine flour and sugar; cut in margarine with pastry blender until coarse crumbs are formed
- BASE
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 3 tablespoons icing sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- PECAN TOPPING
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons margarine, melted
- 2 cups pecans, coarsely chopped
Thai Barbeque Marinade

Whisk together the fish sauce, rice wine, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, ginger, and honey in a small bowl
- 3 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice wine
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic, or to taste
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root
- 2 tablespoons honey
Copycat Mcdonald's Shamrock Shake
