Incredible Broccoli Cheese Soup

Microwave broccoli 5 minutes, turn and cook 4 mintues
- 1 (10 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli
- 3 Tb. butter
- 1/4 onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 (16 oz.) half and half
- 1 (14 oz.) chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. summer savory
- 1/2 lb. mild Mexican Velveeta cheese, cubed

Make the dough: Cream butter and granulated sugar with a mixer until pale and fluffy
- Dough:
- 8 oz. (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 2 large egg yolks, room temperature
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. coarse salt
- Filling:
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 3 Tb. all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 Tb. finely grated Key lime zest, (from 5 limes), or substitute regular limes
- 1/4 tsp. coarse salt

- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

- 2 large oranges
- 2 ripe avocados, diced medium

- 3 Tb. lime juice from 2 limes
- 2 small jalapeno chiles, stemmed, seeded, and minced
- 1/4 c. minced fresh cilantro leaves

- 4 chicken breasts, flattened
- dash Tabasco
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
