Oven Baked Stew

Preheat oven to 425. In 2 1/2 qt shallow casserole, toss beef with flour than bake uncovered 20 min, stirring once
- 2 lbs boneless beef chuck steak, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1/4 c all purpose flour
- 1 1/3 c sliced carrots
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup mix
- 1/2 c dry red wine or water
- 1 c sliced mushrooms
- 1 pkg (8oz)egg noodles, cooked and drained
Cinnamon Oat Bread

- 1 c milk scalded
- 6 T sugar
- 1 t salt
- 3 T butter
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 3 T warm 110' water
- 2/3 c quick cooking oats
- 4 t cinnamon
- 1/8 t nutmeg
- 1 egg
- 3 c flour plus or minus a half cup
Sombrero Spread

Brown meat and 1/4 c chopped onion in a skillet or chafing dish
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 3/4 c chopped onion, divided
- 1/4 c extra hot ketchup
- 1 1/2 t chili powder
- 1/2 t salt
- 8 oz can of kidney beans, undrained
- 1/2 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c chopped stuffed green olives

Spicy Spaghetti Arrabiata

Cook pasta according to pkg instructions
- 12 oz spaghetti or angel hair pasta
- 1 T olive oil
- 1 small sweet onion, peeled and chopped
- 2 med cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
- 1 can 15oz stewed tomatoes with Italian herbs
- 1 can 14.5oz fire roasted crushed tomatoes with chiles
- 2 T vodka
- 1/2 t red pepper flakes
- 1 T chopped fresh basil
- 1 T chopped fresh parsley
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are made with whatever cake mix you choose and mix in whatever chips you choose
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 2 each eggs
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1 bag chocolate chips 16oz
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Bean Soup with Sausage

CUT the sausages into small pieces
- 4 each Italian sausage
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 2 each leeks, slice
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 large carrot, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, sliced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cubes beef stock
- 8 cups hot water
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 4 ounces shell pasta
- 1 can three bean mix (14oz)

- 1 package 12 oz butterscotch chips
- 1 package 12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
- 3 cups salted peanuts
Tomato and Cheddar Tarts

Preheat oven to 425. Season sliced tomatoes with 1/2 t salt and pepper; set aside
- 4 med tomatoes sliced 1/4 in thick
- 1 t salt
- 1/4 t black pepper
- 1 T olive oil
- 1 Spanish onion, thinly sliced
- 2 T water
- 15 oz box of prepared pie crust (2 in the box)
- 2 c shredded cheddar cheese about 10 oz

- 4 c milk scalded
- 1/4 c sugar
- 4 t salt
- 3 T butter
- 2 packets active dry yeast
- 1/2 c warm water (110')
- 10 c unbleached all purpose flour Plus or minus half a cup
Slow Cooked Asian Chicken

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the chicken in oil on both sides
- 1 broiler/fryer chicken (3-1/2 to 4 pounds), cut up
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
