Recipe off the pan kirk gave me for Christmas!
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespon dark sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon Shao Hsing wine or pale dry sherry
- 1 " piece peeled fresh ginger
- 3 clovs garlic
- 1 / to 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 taablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 ribs celery, thinly sliced (about 3 cups)
- 3/4 cup roasted salted cashews (4 ounces)
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher slt
- 1 pound peeled and cleaned medium shrimp
- 3 scallons, thinly sliced, white and green separated

- 1 cup(s (2 sticks) unsalted butter (softened, plus more for molds)
- 1 1/2 cups(s) cake flour (not self-rising) plus more for molds)
- 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) coarse salt
- 1 1/2 cup(s) granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs plus
- 3 large egg Yolks***only
- 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup(s) whipped cream cheese (room temperature)

Casserole (Green Rice)

Cook rice and broccoli separatley, according to package directions
- 1 cup raw rice (I used minute rice)
- 2 packages frozen chopped broccoli
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1 stick margarine or butter
- 1 can cream of chicken soup or mushroom ( I liked mushroom best)
- 1 small can mushrooms, pieces and stems, drained
- 1 ( 8 ounce) jar original cheese whiz.
Poultry, Lemon Herb Rub for Cornish hens

Separate 1/2 of sauce and serve with Cornish Hens Brush with other half of sauce
- 1 Tablespoon dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
- 2 teaspoons dried sage, leaves crumbled
- Salt & pepper
- 2 Rock cornish hens (1 1/2 to 2 lbs each)
- Stir together;
- 3 Tablespoons fresh orange juice
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 cup Apricot Preserves
- Salt and pepper
Zucchini Deep Fried with Creamy Garlic Dip

Combine all Creamy Garlic Dip ingredients by hand, not blender, at least one day before using and refrigerate
- Creamy Garlic Dip:
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 pkg. Ranch sald dressing
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- Deep Fried Zucchini:
- 1 or 2 medium unpelled zucchini, thinly sliced in circle or strips
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1-2 cup canned Italian seasoned bread crumbs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat
- 1 1/2 cups butter
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 easpoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 pounds medium fresh shrimp, peeled an deveined
- 1 (12-ounce) package thin spahetti, cooked and drained
- 1 (8-ounce) package processed cheese, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar, plus more for surface
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons light-rown sugar
- 1 3/4 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- All purpose flour, for rolling
- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry (from one 17.3 -ounce
- pacage), thawed
- 1 large egg, beaten well
Salad, Blue Cheese wedge salad like Outback's

- Dressing
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 3/4 - 1 cup buttermilk **
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 6 ounces crumbled blue cheese
- If you don't have buttermilk, and really, who does? You can take a cup of regular milk and add 1 3/4 tsp of cream of tartar - whisk it together and viola! Buttermilk. Lemon juice also works in lieu of cream of tartar.
- Salad
- 1 head iceberg lettuce
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 c chopped purple onion
- 1/2 c toasted pecans
- 1 1/2 cups grape tomatoes, halved
- 6 ounces crumbed blue cheese
- salt and pepper
- Balsamic glaze
- take 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar and heat in saucepan 'til reduced by half. Then you've got a nice balsamic-y syrup to drizzle over your salad. The taste combination is amazing.
- Directions
- 1 . To make the dressing, combine mayonnaise, and buttermilk, mixing well.
- 2 . Add remaining ingredients mixing thoroughly.Must refrigerate for 24 hours before serving for best flavor.
- 3 . For the salad assembly, divide iceberg lettuce head into four equal sections, cutting down towards the stem.
- 4 . Place on plates, topping liberally with the blue cheese dressing, crumbled bacon,onion, pecans, chopped tomato and crumbled blue cheese.
- 5 . Add balsamic glaze. Sparingly.
- 6 . Serve nice and cold, adding salt and pepper to taste.

- 2 tablespoons caraway seeds
- 1 1/2 cups raisins
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups milk with 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
