Beef Stroganoff

Cut meat into 1/2" wide strips
- 2 lb top round steak
- 1 lg onion, chopped
- 6 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 clove of garlic, mashed
- 1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 2 tsp meat extract paste (Bovril)
- 3 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 can beef bouillon, undiluted 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 Tbsp madeira
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp dill weed
- 1 1/2 cup sour cream
Soybean Hummus*

Combine soybeans and 1/4 cup water in a sm saucepan; bring to a boil
- 1 cup frozen, shelled edamame
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 6 (6-inch) pitas, cut into 8 wedges
Marion's Mushroom Spread

In skillet cook bacon until crispy, drain, reserving 2 Tbsp
- 4 slices bacon
- 8-oz. chopped fresh mushrooms
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 8-oz. cream cheese, cubed
- 2 Tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Yogurt & Feta Sauce

PLACE cheese, yogurt, milk and garlic in food processor or blender container; cover
- 4 oz. athenos traditional crumbled feta cheese
- 3/4 cup plain yogurt
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup chopped seeded tomato
- 1/3 cup chopped seeded peeled cucumber
- 1 tsp. finely chopped fresh dill
Five-Spice-Glazed Salmon with Sesame Green Beans

Chinese five-spice powder, honey, and soy sauce create a tasty glaze for this simple salmon dish
- 1 ⁄4 cup honey
- 4 tsp. reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 11 ⁄2 tsp. five-spice powder
- 2 lg cloves garlic, minced
- Four 6-oz. skin-on salmon fillets (preferably wild), pin bones and scales removed
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 lb slender green beans, trimmed
- 2 tsp. canola oil
- 1 tsp. Asian sesame oil
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper 2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

Wrap water chestnuts with bacon, and secure with a toothpick
- 2 cans water chestnuts
- 1 14 oz. bottle ketchup
- 1 lb lean bacon, cut in 1/3's
- 8 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
Creamy Mexican Crab Dip*

Microwave cheeses at medium power 2 to 3 minutes or until softened, stirring with a wire whisk until smooth
- 1 8-oz. pkg Neufchatel cheese
- 1 8-oz. pkg nonfat cream cheese
- 1 6-oz. can lump crabmeat undrained
- 1 cup salsa
Granny's Shrimp Salad Mold

Soak gelatin in water for 5 minutes, then dissolve over boiling water
- 2 Tbs. gelatin
- 1/3 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 can shrimp
- 1 pint small curd cottage cheese with chives
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 Tbs. parsley
- sale and pepper to taste
Russian Salad Dressing*

Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tbs ketchup
- 2 Tbs pickle relish
- 2 Tbs fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp Worchestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp coarse salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
Heidi's Roasted Sweet Potatoes & Onions
