Crock Pot Barbecue*

Cut the beef on a diagonal, across the grain into slices 1" wide
- 1 1/2 lb boneless chuck, 1 1/2" thick
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
- 1/4 cup wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup catsup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dry or prepared mustard
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Apple Crisp

Slice apples into a greased 9" square pan or a 1-qrt casserole
- 8 med apples, peeled, sliced (Macintosh and Rome Beauties work well)
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. orange juice
- Grated rind of 1 orange
- For Topping ----
- 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Wasabe Sauce

Mix all together in small bowl
- 3 Tbs. mayonnaise
- 1 to 2 tsp. wasabi powder
- 1 tsp. finely minced fresh or dried ginger
- 1 tsp. rice vinegar or water
Lorene's Oven Stew

Mix V-8 juice through tapioca in a small bowl
- 2 lb. stew meat
- 3 stalks celery, diced large
- 5 potatoes, diced large
- 2 onions, diced large
- 3 carrots, diced large
- 1 12 oz. V-8 juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 3 Tbs. tapioca
Crock-pot Beef Stew

Place meat in crock-pot. Mix flour, salt and pepper and pour over meat
- 2 lb beef chuck or stew meat, cut in 1" cubes
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp paprika
- 8 carrots, sliced
- 5 potatoes, diced
- 1 onions, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, sliced

- 3 ⁄4 lb softened butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 ⁄4 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 ⁄4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 ⁄4 tsp. ground cloves
- Salt
- 24 oz. aged rum (rhum vieux)
Horseradish Mustard Salmon

Mix mustard, horseradish and zest together
- 2 Tbs grainy mustard
- 2 Tbs prepaired horseradish
- 1 lb salmon
- grated zest of one lemon
- juice of one lemon
Salmon On Orange Slices

Season salmon and add on top of orange slices
- well seasoned salmon
- orange slices
- 1 cup white wine
Crock-Pot Pork Chops with Mushroom Sauce

Trim the excess fat from the chops and use it to grease a large skillet
- 8 to 10 small, thick pork chops
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/8 tsp sage
- 12 oz cream of mushroom soup
