Slow Cooker Ham

Directions: 1. Spread about 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar on the bottom of the slow cooker crock
- Ingredients:
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 (8 pound) cured, bone-in picnic ham
Salmon Dip

Mix together and roll in nuts
- 1 pound can of Salmon
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 tbs. minced onion
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tbs. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. horseradish
- Chopped nuts
Banana Bread

Adjust a rack to the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 350°F
- 1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose white flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon mace
- 3 About 3 ripe bananas (to make 1 1/3 cups, mashed)
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 4 ounces (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup dark or light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 egg
- Finely grated rind of 1 large lemon
- 4 ounces (1 cup) mix-ins, like walnuts, pecans, chocolate chips, coconut, etc. (optional)
Taco Quesadillas

Spread a small amount of taco meat, beans, and cheese on a half of the tortillas
- 1/2 pound ground beef, cooked and seasoned ( or use taco meat from the freezer)
- 1 can refried beans ( or homemade ones)
- 2 cups grated cheese, either cheddar or colby jack
- 12 tortillas
- salsa and guacamole for serving
Pizza Dough 1

In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water and set aside for 5 minutes until foamy
- 3 tsp dry active yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 1/3 cups warm water
- 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 Tbsp fine corn meal
- 3 cups flour">bread flour or all purpose flour, plus extra for kneading and rolling
- 1 tsp salt
Crock Pot Beans and Rice

Combine rice and butter in the crock pot
- 3 cups cooked beans, total
- 1 cup brown rice
- 1 can of diced tomatoes or 1 1/2 cups fresh diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups water
- Diced green chilies, if desired
- Hot sauce or cayenne pepper, if desired
Chex Mix ( Jennifer's Recipe )

Heat oven to 250. melt butter in pan
- 2 tbs. Worcestershire
- 6 tbs. margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp. Lawry's Tabasco Season Salt
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. Lousiana hot sauce
- 8 cups Chex Cereal
- 1 cup peanuts
- 1 cup pretzel sticks
- 1 cup oyster crackers
Carne Asada Marinade Recipe

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and whisk to combine
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar (can substitute with white vinegar)
- 1/3 cup lime juice (can substitute with lemon juice)
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons peeled fresh garlic - crushed
- 1 tablespoons white pepper
- 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon Mexican oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 orange, sliced
- 1/4 bunch cilantro, chopped (no stems)
Apple Upside Down Cake Recipe

Granny Smiths may make this to gooey, as to too much liquid from them
- 8 Tbsp (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups white, granulate sugar divided (1/2 cup and 3/4 cup)
- 1 1/2 pounds Braeburn, Jonagold, or Golden Delicious apples (about 4 medium), peeled, quartered, cored, each quarter cut into 2 wedges
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/3 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup whole milk
- 1-9-inch cake pan with 1 1/2-inch high sides
