1. In a saucepan, sauté oil, onion, garlic on low
- ♦ 4 TBSP olive oil
- ♦ 1 small onion (chopped)
- ♦ 1 - 28oz. can tomato sauce
- ♦ 1 – 28 oz. kitchen ready tomatoes
- ♦ 1 clove garlic
- ♦ 1/3 can water
- ♦ 3 tsp basil
- ♦ 1 tsp oregano
- ♦ 1 tsp Italian mix season
Spinach Smoothie

Blend and enjoy
- 1-2 - 1-2 ripe bananas (or ones that you have frozen)
- - a handful of spinach leaves
- 1/2 - about 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- - any other fruit you if you want to add, fresh or frozen (note that raspberries will make little seeds in them)
- - half of a small yogurt, or more if you like
- - a dash of liquid, either milk (dairy or non-dairy) or any kind of juice
Black Bean Soup (Panera)

1) In a pot, combine the first 6 ingredients
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 celery ribs, finely chopped
- 1/4 large red bell peppers, finely chopped
- 2 small chicken bouillon cubes
- 1-1 1/2 cup boiling water
- 2 (15 oz) cans black beans, undrained
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 lemons, juice of
- 1 1/2 TBS cornstarch
Sausage Soup

1. In a soup pot, cook sausage over medium heat until no pink remains
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 (28 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes with juice
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 2 cups bow tie pasta
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cabbage

1) Combine cereals, raisins and sunflower seeds in large bowl
- •3 cups crispy rice cereal
- • 3 cups toasted oat cereal
- • 1 1/2 cups raisins
- • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- • 1 cup honey
- • 3/4 cup sugar
- • 1 (16 oz.) jar chunky peanut butter
- • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- • No-Stick Cooking Spray
Black Bean Burger

1.If grilling, preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil a sheet of aluminum foil
- 1 (16 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 green bell pepper, cut into 2 inch pieces
- 1/2 onion, cut into wedges
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon Thai chili sauce or hot sauce
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs

- 1 Tbs. olive oil per lb. of asparagus

- • ½ cup minced onion
- • 1 cup ketchup
- • ½ cup water
- • ¼ cup lemon juice
- • 3 tbsp. worcheshire sauce
- • 3 tbsp. brown sugar
- • 2 tbsp. vinegar
- • 1 tsp. mustard
