Potatoes with bacon and onion

Bring potatoes, stock and salt to a boil in a medium saucepan
- 2 1/2 lbs medium potatoes, peeled
- 4 cups chicken stock
- 1 garlic clove
- 6 oz sliced bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced.
Maple whoopie pie filling

- 1 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
Cranberry Thumbprints

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cookies:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 stick (4 oz) butter, room temp
- 1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp orange zest
- 1 egg, separated.
- Filling:
- 4 oz fresh cranberries (1 cup)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 strip orange zest

- 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
