German Apple Cake (fast)

This is GREAT's recipe, and it's FAST and EASY! Maybe the only fast recipe she had:)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 Tb. baking powder
- 1 Tb. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 c. flour
- 4-5 apples (peeled and sliced)
Lemon Snow Bars

I know Beth and Heather love these ~ it's an old recipe, but always a hit
- Crust:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted REAL butter, chilled (cut in pieces)
- Top layer:
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 – 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 TB lemon juice
- 3/4 tsp grated lemon rind (optional)
- 2 TB flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- powdered sugar (to dust on top of cooled bars)
Chocolate Peanut Crockpot Candy

This is YUMMY ~ you actually make it in your crockpot, so SUPER EASY (no candy thermometer needed)
- 16 oz. unsalted dry roasted peanuts
- 16 oz. lightly salted dry roasted peanuts
- 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 12 oz. white chocolate chips
- 16 oz. vanilla OR almond bark
Porcupine Balls

Another recipe that I used to make all the time for Beth and Heather (and have made it for the grandkids too)
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup raw white rice (regular ~ not instant)
- 1-1/2 cups water
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp celery salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 15 oz. tomato sauce
- 2 tsp Worchestershire sauce
Black Magic Cake

Deep dark CHOCOLATE layer cake with dark chocolate buttercream frosting ~ can also be made as 9x13"
- FROSTING:
- 1-3/4 cup flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (Dark or Dutch are best)
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup strong black coffee (intensifies chocolate flavor)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup real butter, softened
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (Dark or Dutch are best)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk or coffee
- 4 cups powdered sugar
Quick Fruit Cobbler

This is the perfect use for too-soft fruit (summer and winter)
- Fruit Filling:
- 2 c. seasonal sliced fruit/berries
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/8 c. cornstarch
- dash cinnamon
- Crust Topping:
- 1/2 c. Bisquick
- 3 Tb. sugar
- 2 Tb. softened butter
- dash cinnamon
French Breakfast Muffins

These muffins are fast and easy to whip up, and they actually taste very similar to cake doughnuts! Not too sweet
- 1-1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. EACH salt & nutmeg
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 about 1/2 c. melted butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Butterscotch Toffee Whipped Cream Cake

EASY Angel Food cake ~ MAKE AHEAD ~ and let all the whipped cream soak through the layers ~ DECADENT
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 5-1/2 oz. butterscotch syrup (ice cream topping is fine)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 Angel Food cake (homemade or store-bought)
- 3/4 lb English toffee candy (crushed ~ use food processor) ~ OR
- you could also use Heath Bar bits (near chocolate chips on the
- the baking aisle)
Peanut Butter Fudge Krispie Bars

- 1/2 12-oz. pkg peanut butter chips
- 1/2 c. lite corn syrup (or honey)
- 2 TB butter
- 4 c. Rice Krispies

- 1 12-oz. pkg. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
- 1 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 2 TB milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
