Easy Drop Danish Pastry

These are SO quick & easy! I used to make them all the time! I usually made small ones, but you can make them larg
- Glaze:
- 1/4 c. softened butter
- 2 Tb. sugar
- 2 cups Bisquick
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1/4 c. any flavor jam/preserve
- 2/3 c. powdered sugar
- 1 Tb. warm water
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
14 Carat Cake

A WONDERFUL carrot cake! This one is light, with fluffy icing - not that heavy, moist "door-stop" cake
- Frosting:
- 2 c. EACH flour and sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1-1/2 t. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tb. cinnamon
- 1-1/2 c. cooking oil
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. grated carrots
- 1 8-oz. can crushed & drained pineapple
- 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts (opt).

Foolproof FUDGE

Totally, truly FOOLPROOF Fudge! No candy thermometer or trying to guess what "stage" it's in
- 3 c. (18 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 14-oz. can Eagle Brand CONDENSED milk
- dash of salt
- 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts (optional), but leave them out if Beth is coming
Raspberry Cream Torte

Easier than it looks, but SO IMPRESSIVE! Will actually look JUST like the photo too!
- Shortbread:
- 1 Tb. softened butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1-1/4 c. flour
- Cake:
- 4 eggs, separated, PLUS 2 egg yolks (make meringue AIR COOKIES with the whites)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3.4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. cocoa powder
- Filling:
- 1/2 lb. fresh raspberries
- 1 Tb. raspberry liqueur (or Brandy)
- 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
- scant 1/4 c. water
- 2 c. heavy whipping cream
- generous 1/2 c. powdered sugar (sifted)
- Decorations:
- 1 c. heavy whipping cream
- 1 Tb. powdered sugar
- 1/4 c. toasted slivered almonds (opt)
Blintz Soufffle

This is a fast BRUNCH recipe, that also works when your husband calls and says he's bring 4 clients home for dinner...
- Can be topped with:
- 2 pkg. frozen blintzes
- 1/2 c. butter
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1-1/2 c. sour cream
- 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
- sour cream
- berries
- you might like a dash of cinnamon
Chicken Gumbo Soup

Great main dish in winter
- 1-1/2 lbs. boned, skinned chicken
- 3 c. water
- 1 chicken bouillon cube (1/2 if Knorr)
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped green bell pepper
- 2 tsp. parsley
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne or red pepper flakes
- 1 28-oz. AND 1 15-oz. can tomatoes (UNdrained and cut up)
- 1/2 10-oz. pkg cut frozen okra
- 1/8 c. uncooked regular rice
- This is the original recipe, halved. You may want to double it for larger families, especially if it's the main course
Crab Cauliflower Cheese Bisque

This is a FAST soup recipe, that's elegant enough for company! You might want to double it, if it's a main dish
- 1/4 c. EACH chopped celery and onion
- 2 Tb. butter
- 1 Tb. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 2 c. milk
- 1 10-oz. pkg frozen Cauliflower in Cheese Sauce
- 6 oz. crabmeat
- 2 Tb. white wine
- chopped fresh parsley (garnish)
Cranberry Apple (or Peach) Cobbler

Very EASY and VERY GOOD! Use either apple or peach pie filling
- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 21-oz can apple or peach pie filling
- 1 16-oz can whole berry cranberry sauce
- vanilla ice cream ***
Orange Sherbet Jello

What 1950's holiday dinner wouldn't be complete without JELLO? This recipe is updated and doesn't need a mold
- 1-1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 6-oz. pkg orange jello
- 1 pint orange sherbet, softened
- 1 11-oz. can mandarin oranges, drained
- 8 oz. Cool Whip (you'll only use about 3/4 of the container)
