Christmas Tree Pops

These little Christmas trees on a stick are made with white chocolate and red and green candy coated chocolates
- Hershey's Premier White Chips
- Hershey's Hershey-ets Candy Coated Milk Chocolates in red and green colors
- Disposable decorating bags
- Scissors
- Baking tray(s)
- Wax or parchment paper
- Lollipop sticks
Gingerbread Cake Truffles

For the cake: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, softened, plus 1 tablespoon for greasing
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting, recipe follows
- 12 ounces white chocolate candy melts (or other variety that would be appropriate for melting)
- 1 cup pistachios, shelled and finely chopped
SWEET PICKLE RELISH

Combine cukes, onions, green and red peppers in a large bowl, sprinkle with salt and cover with cold water
- 1 quart chopped cukes
- 2 cups chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped sweet green pepper
- 1 cup chopped sweet red pepper
- 1/4 cup salt
- 3 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 cups cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon celery seed
- 1 tablespoon mustard seed
ROASTED GARLIC DRESSING

Preheat oven to 400°F. Pull off excess papery outside skin from garlic without separating the cloves
- 2 heads garlic
- 1/2 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1/4 cup wine or cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- Salt & freshly ground pepper, to taste
AMBER’S POPOVERS

Heat oven to 425. grease 12 cup muffin tin or popover pan and put it in the oven while you make the batter
- 1 Tablespoon melted butter.
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup flour
EGGNOG

Separate the yolks from the whites of the eggs
- 6 large eggs
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1-1/2 c. brandy
- 1/2 c. rum
- 4 c. milk
- 4 c. cream
- 1/2 c. icing sugar
- nutmeg to sprinkle
KING CAKE FOR MARDI GRAS

- For the Cake:
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 2 1/2 cups bread flour, plus more for dusting
- 2 large egg yolks, plus 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, melted and cooled, plus more for greasing the bowl
- For the Filling and Glaze:
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 2/3 cup toasted pecans, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons grated orange zest
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 dry bean or plastic King Cake baby (available at party-supply stores or mardigrasday.com)
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- Purple, green and gold sanding sugar, for decorating
BLUEBERRY SYRUP

Mash fruit, sprinkle with sugar, cover and let stand overnight in refrigerator
- 2 qt. blueberries
- 4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. cold water
PEANUT BUTTER CUPS

Knead peanut butter, powdered sugar and vanilla together and shape into tiny balls and put into tiny candy papers
- 2/3 c. peanut butter
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
