Ingredients

  • l lb. flour

  • 1

    Tlblsp. sugar

  • 1

    Tblsp. crisco

  • 1

    Tblsp. baking powder

  • 6

    eggs, well beaten

  • ½

    tsp. salt

  • 2

    Tblsp. anisette

  • oil for frying

Directions

Mix together the flour, sugar, crisco, baking powder. Make a well in the mixture and add eggs, salt and anisette. Roll dough in very thin sheets. With edge cutter, cut strips 1 inch wide and about 7 inches long and know. Deep fry in hot oil. Sprinkle with confectionary sugar.
