Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients
- 1 16 oz. box elbow macaroni
- 1 1/2 sticks margarine
- 1 cup flour
- 3 1/3 cups milk
- 1 16 oz. container sour cream
- salt and pepper to taste
- 20 oz. grated cheddar cheese
- bread crumbs

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water. Pour in to a large casserole dish.
3. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, melt margarine over low heat, and then stir in flour and cook for one minute. Gradually stir in milk and sour cream. Add salt and pepper.
4. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sauce bubbles and thickens.
5. Reserve some grated cheese for the top of the casserole. Toss macaroni with remaining cheese.
6. Pour sauce over macaroni and mix thoroughly. Sprinkle with reserved cheese and bread crumbs.
7. Bake for 1 hour, or until bubbly and brown.
