Veal and Ham Rolls

Ingredients

  • 4 thin veal scallops
  • 4 very thin slices of ham
  • prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp dry thyme
  • 2 thin slices swiss cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup salad oil

Step 1

Over each slice of veal, put on ham. Spread ham with mustard, sprinkle with thyme, place half a slice of cheese over each, roll up and fasten with a toothpick.

In a shallow dish with fork, beat egg slightly with oregano and salt. Place crumbs on wax paper, dip veal rolls in egg and then in crumbs. In hot oil in medium sized skillet, saute rolls turning several times.

Cook for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
